ALGA Group strengthens Kyrgyzstan’s digital infrastructure with nationwide LTE network upgrade

ALGA Group, a diversified technology group in Kyrgyzstan, has completed the latest phase of investment in the country’s mobile network infrastructure through its telecommunications business O!, significantly increasing LTE network capacity across more than 200 locations.

The nationwide programme spans all seven regions of Kyrgyzstan and has improved network performance, stability and average data speeds for more than 2.5 million O! customers.

The investment forms part of ALGA Group’s ongoing programme to strengthen the telecommunications infrastructure underpinning connectivity and digital services for consumers and businesses across Kyrgyzstan.

The latest phase of upgrades covered major population and economic centres, including Bishkek and the surrounding Chuy region, alongside locations across Talas, Naryn, Osh, Jalal-Abad and Batken regions.

Additional capacity was also deployed across the Issyk-Kul region, one of Kyrgyzstan’s principal tourism destinations, where mobile data demand increases significantly during the peak summer season. Network capacity was strengthened in key locations including Balykchy, Karakol and Cholpon-Ata, as well as major resort areas around Issyk-Kul, supporting reliable connectivity during periods of increased network traffic.

Continued investment in O!’s network also supports the development of ALGA Group’s wider digital offering. The Group operates the consumer-facing My O! digital ecosystem under the O! brand, bringing together telecommunications, financial services and other digital products within a single environment.

The latest network upgrade forms part of ALGA Group’s continued investment in the infrastructure and technology required to support growing demand for mobile connectivity and digital services across Kyrgyzstan.
